Customer
Service is an integral part of any business, and the advancement in technology
over the past decade has allowed this field to be much more efficient. Huge
corporations often keep a database of customer information; computers allow
them to quickly access these records and then make any necessary changes if
needed. For example, a phone company will keep records of each customer’s
information and service plans and if someone needed to change their plan or
discontinue their service, the representative on the phone can easily do this
from their computer. Instead of tediously searching through mountains of files
and folders, which can take hours, they can simply search the customer in their
database and retrieve information effortlessly. This will allow them to deal
with the customer quicker resulting in much better service.
